Forgiving bathsheba

Choreographer: Ea Torrado
Dancers: Ea Torrado, Jed Amihan and Russel Legaspi
Music: The Water Song by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis
Location: Contemporary Dance Map Gala (2011)

Uriah the Hittie from one of the Bible stories, is an unsung hero. Bathsheba was coveted by King David and the king had arranged Bathsheba's husband's (Uriah) murder. In this dance, Uriah quoted the psalm made and sang by the famous King David. This work explores the difficulty of rendiring forgiveness, with a monologue deliverd by the character Uriah while Bathsheba and King David dance in a duet that exemplefies and abstract relationship.
